Delta Flight Products Awarded Customer Spotlight Award at Hitachi Social Innovation Forum

  • Delta Flight Products (DFP) was honored with the Customer Spotlight Award during the Hitachi Social Innovation Forum on May 25, 2021
  • The award is in recognition of DFP and Hitachi’s collaboration in creating the first ever wireless in-flight entertainment system

Delta Flight Products has been honored with the Customer Spotlight Award at Hitachi’s Social Innovation Forum in the Creating Together category for collaborating with Hitachi on an industry-leading wireless in-flight entertainment (IFE) system.

Presented at the Hitachi Social Innovation Forum last week, the award is given to a customer who worked with a Hitachi business unit to create innovative solutions that solve societal challenges. The awards given at the forum showcase organizations who work with Hitachi Group and its partners to accelerate their technologies in innovative and successful ways.

“We’re honored to accept this year’s Hitachi Customer Spotlight Award. The recognition highlights DFP’s innovative spirit and our commitment to creating products that better serves our customers. We appreciate the collaborative relationship with Hitachi that made our industry-first wireless seat back IFE system a reality,” said Rick Salanitri, President – Delta Flight Products. “The wireless system also advances our sustainability efforts to create lighter, more efficient products that reduce weight onboard and decrease carbon emissions.”

The Delta Flight Products IFE system wirelessly streams content to seatback mounted integrated tablets, reducing the total amount of weight onboard and further decreasing carbon emissions, helping promote a sustainable future. The system is created with flexible architecture allowing for easy retrofit and integration with seats.
